After successful completion of the MIT training, the MIT practical phase will begin for the more than 40 MIT participants in February 2022. During the practical phase, the MIT trainees can try out their acquired knowledge and experience in everyday life and come up with their own ideas. They are accompanied by mentors and continue to be supported by the MIT team at INTEGRA Filder e.V..
The practical phase is accompanied by an extensive program of events. Among other things, there are counseling appointments for third-country nationals who want to found an association in Germany. Meetings are also planned with Stuttgart’s integration officer, who will present her work and provide information on networking and funding opportunities. Other highlights include visits to exhibitions, including one on hate and exclusion in our society. On the political front, meetings with members of the German Bundestag are planned, as well as visits to meetings of local councils and the state parliament in Stuttgart.
For the ecologically minded among MIT participants, meetings are scheduled with Genbänkle, a project to preserve old varieties and their seeds. In addition, appointments are planned in the Black Forest Nature Park Central/North and in the Northern Black Forest National Park.
The practical phase will be concluded by the 3rd MIT conference, which is planned for the end of May 2022. All project results will then be summarized at the MIT final conference in June 2022.
