Ayse Özbabacan, the Integration Officer of the state capital Stuttgart, was a guest at MIT on March 2, 2022. The participants of the MIT trainings learned first-hand what the work of an integration officer of a municipality looks like. Another topic was which funding opportunities are available for projects of migrant associations and migrant organizations.
It was also explained that the tasks of integration officers can differ from municipality to municipality. Also, the size of the offices often depends on the size of a city or municipality. With direct questions to the participants, Ayse Özbabacan was able to respond directly to the needs, was able to give tips and advice on the implementation of projects and point out responsible contact persons within the administration.
Due to the good response, there will be another round with Ayse Özbabacan on March 30. The meetings will take place in the hall of the Geißstraße 7 Foundation in Stuttgart.
