On Friday, 3 June 2022, the final conference of the MIT project will take place at the Filharmonie in Filderstadt. After almost three years, the conference will present the course of the project, project experiences and the results. Together with participants of the MIT project, we will talk about the sustainable impact MIT had on the participating third-country nationals.

The conference will be opened by Christoph Traub, Mayor of Filderstadt, and Yilmaz Keles, Chairman of INTEGRA Filder e.V.. After presentations by the project team and project participants, Dr Lisa Damaschke from the University of Tübingen will take a scientific look at the project. She focuses on the participation of third-country nationals in political, social and cultural life in Germany.

In the second half of the conference, we talk to Christos Slavoudis, the head of the Office for Integration, Migration and Social Affairs in Filderstadt. Afterwards, participants will report on their associations founded and projects started within the framework of MIT. The conference will conclude with an outlook on a possible MIT 2.0 project continuation.
